Viral pictures of Nayanthara showing her with a bald head have created a buzz online. The images appeared to show the actress outside a temple. This led fans to wonder if she had shaved her head for her upcoming film Toxic.
However, the pictures are AI-generated. Some social media users quickly noticed an AI watermark in the viral images. They also questioned whether the actress had actually changed her appearance for the film.
The original pictures are from Nayanthara’s visit to Tirumala in April 2026. She visited the temple with her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. The bald look was digitally added to those real photographs.
Nayanthara will next appear in Toxic, alongside Yash, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth. The Geetu Mohandas directorial is scheduled to release on August 26, 2026.
Nayanthara also made a rare appearance at the film’s trailer launch in Bengaluru. She revealed that Yash personally called her and convinced her to attend the event.
