Sumanth Prabhas’ upcoming film Godari Gattupaina explores rural romance and family relationships against a culturally rich backdrop.
Directed by Subhash Chandra and backed by Red Puppet Productions, the movie is gearing up for a worldwide release on May 8.
Speaking about his journey, producer Abhinav revealed that his passion for cinema led him into production after years in various businesses.
“While I was searching for a good script, I really liked the story narrated by Subhash. I wanted to make a film with emotions that connect universally with audiences, and this story perfectly matched that vision. Sumanth Prabhas was the right choice for the role.”
The producer added that they considered several titles before finalizing Godari Gattupaina.
“This title felt closest to the film’s rooted essence. I suggested it, and the director also liked it. Since it also has universal appeal, we finalized Godari Gattupaina.”
He praised Sumanth Prabhas for convincingly portraying a youngster from the Godavari region, even though he hails from Telangana.
“Sumanth took on the challenge of mastering a new dialect for authenticity, adding depth to his performance.”
Abhinav also referred to Suniel Narang as his well-wisher and mentor.
“Suniel has supported me in every aspect. The reason experienced actors like Jagapathi Babu, Laila, and Rajeev Kanakala are part of my debut film is because of his encouragement.”
Expressing confidence in the film, the producer stated that he would like to collaborate again with director Subhash Chandra.
