Sampath Nandi’s Sampath Nandi Teamworks and KV Sridhar Reddy’s Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions collaborate again for another intriguing project.
Presented by Aditya Movies, the project marks the directorial debut of Raj Ganesh Uppunooti, a protégé of Sampath Nandi.
Akhil Raj, who won appreciation for his performance in Raju Weds Rambai, and popular Telangana folk artist Naga Durga play the lead roles.
The makers have unveiled the title as Shanarthi, an intriguing Telangana term traditionally used as a form of greeting.
The title poster offers a striking visual interpretation of the film’s cultural roots. Two hands are seen holding each other, one covered in turmeric yellow and the other painted in vibrant red.
Sacred threads around the wrists and a stack of traditional red bangles add further authenticity to the image. The tagline- A Tale of Culture, reinforces the central idea behind the film.
The story unfolds in the rustic surroundings of rural Telangana, with the region’s traditions, emotions and earthy atmosphere forming an important part of its narrative.
Sampath Nandi’s involvement is another major attraction, given his reputation as a writer, storyteller and showrunner and his association with successful stories.
Suresh Bobbili will score the music, while the rest of the cast and crew details will be revealed later.
Shanarthi was officially launched today at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad in the presence of prominent film personalities and the film’s team.
The makers are expected to begin shooting shortly.
