There has been considerable speculation about the future of the “Pushpa” franchise.
While “Pushpa 2” emerged as a massive blockbuster, particularly in the North Indian market, and became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, director Sukumar is not expected to begin work on “Pushpa 3” anytime soon.
Sukumar is currently gearing up for his next film with Ram Charan, a project that is likely to take at least two years to complete and release.
Following that, he is reportedly considering a film either with Prabhas or Shah Rukh Khan.
Given this lineup, many industry observers believe “Pushpa 3” may not go on floors until around 2030.
However, actor Jagapathi Babu has offered a different perspective.
Speaking recently, he claimed that “Pushpa 3” will happen much sooner than many expect.
According to him, Sukumar personally assured him of a more substantial role in the third installment, as his character's presence in “Pushpa 2” was relatively limited.
Jagapathi Babu further stated that the third part could be launched within the next two years, a claim that has sparked fresh excitement among fans of the blockbuster franchise.
