The next phase of shooting for Kalki 2 has reportedly been postponed once again, mainly due to Prabhas’ unavailability.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film had already begun production, with portions featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan reportedly completed.
Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan are reprising their roles as Ashwatthama and Supreme Yaskin, respectively, from Kalki 2898 AD.
The sci-fi epic was a major blockbuster, and the sequel is expected to be mounted on an even bigger scale.
Nag Ashwin had recently said in an interview that the team was planning to resume shooting Kalki 2 in September, with Prabhas expected to join the sets.
However, the schedule has now reportedly been pushed further, as Prabhas is set to focus on Fauji from September.
Prabhas currently has several high-profile projects in his lineup, including Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and Fauji.
With Fauji scheduled for release on December 3, 2026, the actor is expected to devote significant time to the project from September onwards.
As a result, the next schedule of Kalki 2 has been delayed again.
The makers will now have to work around Prabhas’ packed schedule before finalising new shooting dates.
