Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar has hit back strongly at online trolls who targeted her daughters, Avantika and Anandita, over their appearance following Anandita’s recent wedding.
In a strongly worded post on X, Khushbu made it clear that she would not remain silent when her family was attacked. She warned that her silence should never be mistaken for acceptance or weakness.
Reflecting on her family’s journey, Khushbu said they had reached their present position only after years of hard work, sacrifice and perseverance. She described her family as one built on love, trust and understanding.
The actor said her daughters had been raised with humility despite growing up in the public eye and had never taken advantage of their identity as celebrity children.
“This is my family, built on love, trust and understanding. We have struggled, worked hard to the bone, bled and sweated to be where we are today,” she wrote.
Khushbu added that although her family had faced failures and setbacks, they had always fought back and emerged stronger.
“We might have faltered, failed, tripped and fallen at times, but we have never failed to fight back with vigour and succeed again,” she said.
She also expressed pride in her children, saying they had never misused their celebrity status.
Khushbu then issued a stern warning to those insulting her daughters for social media attention.
“Never mess with a mother. Remember, a mother is a wounded tiger who will pounce and kill to protect her cubs,” she wrote.
She criticised certain social media users and YouTubers for discussing her family merely to gain followers, views and money.
Khushbu said her message was not aimed at just one troll but at everyone who believed they could target her children without consequences.
She also urged women to stand up against disrespect and protect their self-worth.
“Enough is enough. If we don’t speak up for ourselves today, these morons will walk all over us,” she wrote.
Khushbu said real strength cannot be bought and is instead earned through life’s struggles. She encouraged women to respect themselves even when others fail to do so.
“To every woman out there, stand up for yourself. When others fail to respect you, don’t give a damn. Learn to respect yourself. Never allow others to insult you,” she said.
She concluded the post by thanking actor Radhikaa Sarathkumar for supporting her as both a friend and a family member.
Khushbu’s reaction came days after her younger daughter, Anandita, married Merchant Navy officer Shravan Sreenivasan in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members and friends.
