The film collected approximately $275,000, or around ₹2.65 crore, on its opening day in international markets. This is said to be the biggest overseas opening of Kiran Abbavaram’s career.
The impressive start has come as a major boost for the film’s team. Trade estimates suggest that the movie recovered nearly 30 per cent of its overseas business value on the first day itself.
Strong premiere bookings and encouraging word of mouth reportedly helped the film post solid numbers, particularly in key overseas markets.
With a career-best opening and a significant portion of the investment already recovered, Chennai Love Story has begun its overseas run on a highly positive note.
