Prasanth Varma and RKD Studios have unveiled the first glimpse of #Mahakali, introducing Akshaye Khanna in a formidable avatar as Shukracharya, the powerful guru of the Asuras.
Titled Shukracharya’s War Cry, the glimpse plunges viewers into a world where Dharma and Adharma stand on the verge of an enormous confrontation.
Shukracharya emerges as a commanding force at the centre of the brewing conflict, with the visuals suggesting that the battle ahead extends far beyond a simple war between opposing forces.
The ominous atmosphere and escalating visuals make it clear that something far greater is about to unfold.
Akshaye Khanna becomes the biggest attraction of the glimpse. Almost unrecognisable in the role, the actor delivers a striking screen presence through his intense eyes, imposing demeanour and restrained ferocity.
After generating tremendous curiosity with his first look, his glimpse as Shukracharya provides a much stronger indication of the depth and authority he is bringing to the character.
The visual scale further elevates the excitement. Expansive landscapes, elaborate production design, striking VFX and meticulously crafted visuals reveal a grand mythological-historical world that appears unlike anything attempted on this scale within the PVCU.
Sriya Reddy also makes a powerful impression as the goddess, adding another intriguing dimension to the unfolding conflict. The glimpse also introduces Samuthirakani.
Following Hanu-Man, which established the foundation for Prasanth Varma’s Purana Veera Chitra Udyam, Mahakali promises to expand the universe with a darker, more monumental and visually ambitious chapter.
Presented by RK Duggal and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under RKD Studios, Mahakali is directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru, and features Bhoomi Shetty playing the lead role.
With Shukracharya’s War Cry setting the tone, the makers have opened the doors to a battle of unprecedented scale.
Mahakali is announced to arrive worldwide during Sankranthi on January 8, 2027, promising a spectacular new chapter in the ever-expanding PVCU.
