Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi previously worked together on Sarileru Neekevvaru. The superstar is currently busy with the biggest film of his career, Varanasi.
Directed by S S Rajamouli, the globe-trotting adventure is being mounted on a massive scale and is scheduled to hit the big screens in April 2027.
Over the past few days, reports surfaced claiming that Mahesh Babu was planning to collaborate with hitmaker Anil Ravipudi after completing Varanasi.
The reports suggested that Mahesh was considering doing a relatively quick film before taking up another large-scale project.
The speculation quickly triggered considerable discussion among fans, with many suggesting that Mahesh should continue focusing on big event films after Varanasi. However, Anil Ravipudi has now categorically dismissed the reports.
Taking to X, the director said that Mahesh has always been very dear to him and that he has immense love and respect for the superstar. He also urged fans and the media not to believe or spread the rumours.
“Superstar @UrstrulyMahesh garu has always been a dear person to me. I have immense love and respect for him, always. Whatever news is currently circulating is completely false and untrue. Please don’t believe or spread such rumours,” Anil Ravipudi posted.
Anil Ravipudi is currently working on a new film titled January 12 Vidudala, starring Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram.
