Natural Star Nani’s Unanimous Productions has officially announced its second production venture after the phenomenal success of the blockbuster COURT – State Vs A Nobody.
Starring Nithiin and produced by Deepthi Ganta, the film marks the second directorial venture of writer-director Murali Kanth Devasoth, whose debut film Dhandora earned critical acclaim.
The makers unveiled the intriguing title, Alias Rukmini, through a pleasant yet mysteriously conceptualized glimpse that looks promising.
The video begins with an engaging conversation between Nani and Murali Kanth Devasoth. Eager to hear the much-talked-about story, Nani asks the director to narrate it.
The filmmaker says it is the story of Krishna, but instead of introducing the protagonist, the visuals reveal a series of romantic novels written by an author named Rukmini.
The mystery deepens with the final reveal of Nithiin as Krishna, a mathematics teacher seated in his office. He calmly says, "My wife," bringing the video to an irresistibly intriguing close. The glimpse instantly grabs attention with its unconventional narrative style.
The mysterious tone, complemented by Vijai Bulganin’s soothing score, hints at an emotional entertainer wrapped in an engaging mystery.
While Nani has consistently backed distinctive, content-driven cinema, director Murali Kanth Devasoth appears to have once again crafted a refreshingly original and emotionally compelling story.
Jomon T John ISC handles the cinematography, while Avinash Kolla serves as the production designer. The editing is by Srujana Adusumilli.
Alias Rukmini was formally launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony, and regular shooting is expected to commence soon.
