Nandamuri Balakrishna recently underwent knee surgery after sustaining an injury while shooting for NBK111.
The actor reportedly injured himself while filming an action sequence near Kakinada and was immediately taken to AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad, where he underwent surgery.
Balakrishna, who is in his late 60s, has reportedly been advised by doctors to take adequate rest and avoid rushing back to the sets.
Considering his age and the nature of the injury, the medical team is said to have recommended a longer recovery period than usual.
However, Balakrishna is reportedly keen on sticking to the planned December release of NBK111.
According to reports, he has asked the makers to schedule the remaining portions in a way that keeps the film on track.
The veteran actor is said to be confident of returning to the sets by October.
He has also reportedly suggested that director Gopichand Malineni complete scenes involving the other actors while he continues his recovery.
There is also a possibility that body doubles could be used for some of the more demanding action sequences, especially those involving Balakrishna, so that he does not put additional strain on his recovering knee.
For now, the makers are reportedly planning the shoot around Balakrishna’s recovery while trying to keep the December release target intact.
