AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad has released a health bulletin regarding Nandamuri Balakrishna’s knee injury.
According to the bulletin, a multidisciplinary team of doctors is treating the actor, and surgery is expected to be performed either later today or tomorrow.
Balakrishna sustained the injury while shooting for NBK111 near Kakinada. Following the incident, he was airlifted from Rajahmundry to Hyderabad for further treatment.
The duration of his recovery is expected to become clear after the surgery.
However, industry sources indicate that the actor is likely to stay away from film shoots, particularly action sequences, for at least a month.
As a result, the ongoing shoot of NBK111 has been halted, and the current schedule has been postponed.
The makers had been targeting a theatrical release in December this year. With production now interrupted, that target appears difficult to achieve.
The film is now expected to be postponed either to the Sankranthi season or to the summer of 2027, depending on Balakrishna’s recovery and the revised shooting schedule.
