Actress Nidhhi Agerwal appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday in connection with the agency’s investigation into the promotion of banned betting apps.
The ED had summoned Nidhhi following allegations that she received payments through hawala channels for promoting betting apps.
She appeared at the agency’s office on Wednesday for questioning.
According to reports, ED officials questioned the actress about the remuneration and commissions she allegedly received from betting app companies.
Her appearance is part of the ongoing investigation into the case.
Several other film personalities, including Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati and Manchu Lakshmi, have also been questioned by ED officials in connection with the investigation.
Meanwhile, Nidhhi Agerwal has recently signed a new Telugu film.
