Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently busy with Spirit, his most ambitious project to date, starring Prabhas.
The film also marks a milestone in Prabhas’ career, as it will be his 25th theatrical release.
Production is progressing steadily, with nearly 40 per cent of the shoot already completed. Vanga is reportedly planning the schedules carefully to wrap up filming by December.
In recent months, speculation has been rife that Vanga may reunite with either Mahesh Babu or Ram Charan for his next Telugu film after Spirit. However, sources close to the filmmaker say those reports are premature.
According to industry insiders, Vanga has no plans to direct another Telugu film for the next three to four years.
Once Spirit is completed, he is expected to begin work on Animal Park, the sequel to the blockbuster Animal, with Ranbir Kapoor returning in the lead role. After that, Vanga is reportedly set to direct another major Hindi film starring Ranveer Singh.
With these two Bollywood projects likely to keep him occupied for several years, a new Telugu film from the director appears unlikely anytime soon.
