Director Buchi Babu has addressed several rumours surrounding “Peddi,” which is set to premiere tomorrow.
Ever since his blockbuster debut “Uppena,” it has been widely known that he had planned a project with NTR. Since that film never materialised, many assumed that the story eventually became “Peddi” with Ram Charan.
The director, however, firmly denied the speculation.
“The story I planned for NTR garu is entirely different. ‘Peddi’ was developed specifically for Ram Charan sir. He had always wanted to do a sports drama, and we crafted this story with him in mind,” Buchi Babu clarified.
Asked whether he would still like to work with NTR in the future, the director responded enthusiastically: “If NTR garu calls me, I will run to his place and narrate a story.”
Buchi Babu also put to rest rumours regarding the iconic song “Abba Nee Teeyani Debba” from “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari.”
Speculation had suggested that the song had been remixed for “Peddi” and would appear at a crucial moment in the film.
Denying the reports, the director revealed that the song was only briefly considered for a scene.
“We planned to play the song briefly on a radio in one scene. But we later muted those portions because we felt it could distract the audience and take them out of the story,” he explained.
