Jr NTR’s strong reaction to the AI-morphed Chuttamalle video has once again highlighted the growing problem of deepfakes.
On October 3, NTR called the video “disgusting, sick and shameless” and said he would take legal action against those who created and circulated it. He also urged governments to bring in stricter regulations against AI misuse.
Now, another digitally edited clip involving NTR and Mahesh Babu, reportedly using footage from their Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu episode, is circulating on social media.
The original footage has been edited, while the version now being shared is being interpreted by some users as targeting BRS leaders.
The bigger concern is that some viewers appear to be treating the edited clip as genuine, with the apparent voice match adding to the confusion.
Abusive comments directed at NTR and Mahesh Babu are also reportedly appearing around such posts.
This raises an obvious question; Will NTR speak out against this clip too, just as he did in the Chuttamalle case? Or will he choose not to respond because the political context could trigger a different kind of controversy in Telangana?
If he raises his voice against this morphed clip, will it be perceived as him taking a stand against the Telangana Congress, given that the video appears to favor them politically?
Whatever the political angle, the larger issue remains the same; if AI-generated or digitally manipulated content is being passed off as real, should celebrities demand action consistently—regardless of whom the content targets?
NTR’s next response, if any, could therefore attract considerable attention.
