Ram Charan’s sports action drama Peddi witnessed growth at the box office on its third day after seeing a dip on Day 2.
The film collected ₹28.85 crore net on Day 3 across 9,019 shows. This marks a 7.2 percent growth from its Day 2 net collection of ₹26.90 crore.
With this, Peddi’s total India net collection has reached ₹125.25 crore so far, while the total India gross stands at ₹149.07 crore.
The film also continued its steady run in the overseas market. On Day 3, Peddi collected ₹8 crore overseas, taking its total overseas gross to ₹42 crore.
With these numbers, the worldwide gross collection of Peddi has now reached ₹191.07 crore.
The film tells the story of Peddi, played by Ram Charan, who discovers his identity and purpose through sport.
The narrative follows his journey as he takes up multiple sports, including cricket, kushti and sprinting, before gaining the attention of the Indian government.
While Peddi has received appreciation for addressing an important subject, it has also faced criticism over the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor’s character, Achiyamma.
Directed and written by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, co-produced by Ishan Saksena under IVY Entertainment and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
The film also stars Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
