A lot of criticism has been coming against “Peddi” after its release. Many people felt that Jagapathi Babu’s role as Appalasuri should have been shown in a deeper and stronger way.
Even Jagapathi Babu said in his interviews that a few more bonding scenes between him and Ram Charan would have made the film better.
Similarly, some scenes showing the bonding between Janhvi Kapoor and Ram Charan were also missing in the theatrical version.
The film did not clearly show how Janhvi’s character Achiyyamma brought change in Ram Charan’s character and how he transformed because of her.
Apart from this, a few more scenes before the pre-climax were also removed because of the film’s length. Now, all these scenes are expected to be added back.
The makers are preparing a 3-hour-25-minute cut for Netflix. It is being said that this version will look more complete and give a better emotional feel to the audience.
Coming to the theatrical version, some objectionable scenes featuring Janhvi Kapoor were already removed. Those deleted scenes may also be added back in the OTT version.
It remains to be seen whether scenes related to actors like Satya, who did not get much importance in the theatrical version, will also be included.
“Peddi” stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. A R Rahman composed the music for the film.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film also features Divyenndu and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
