As the release of Peddi draws closer, one question is dominating discussions among Mega fans: will there be premiere shows in Telangana?
In Andhra Pradesh, there appears to be little cause for concern. Industry sources say the process of securing permissions is moving smoothly, with an application reportedly submitted seeking a flat ticket price of Rs 600 for special shows.
There is also speculation that the proposal has already received preliminary approval. However, no official orders have been issued yet.
The bigger challenge lies in Telangana.
For the past week, exhibitors have been engaged in discussions with industry stakeholders, demanding a larger share of revenue and expressing reservations over ticket price hikes and benefit shows.
The Telangana government had earlier granted permission for premiere shows for Prabhas’s The Raja Saab. However, no such issue arose in the case of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
Fans are now curious to see whether the Telangana government will allow premiere shows for Peddi, just as it did for Pawan Kalyan’s film.
