Pooja Hegde’s fans may be disappointed with her limited screen time in Vijay’s much-awaited final film, Jana Nayagan.
Director H. Vinoth has revealed that Pooja plays a television journalist but appears in only a few scenes. Her role was originally much bigger, but several portions were removed during editing to reduce the film’s runtime.
Vinoth even apologised to the actress, saying her character had more importance in the original script.
The revelation has surprised fans who were looking forward to seeing Vijay and Pooja together again after Beast.
Many expected Jana Nayagan to strengthen Pooja’s position in Tamil cinema. However, the reduced role has lowered those expectations.
Despite the limited screen space, fans are hoping Pooja will still make a strong impression.
The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on July 23, with advance bookings already gaining momentum in Tamil Nadu.
