Deepika Padukone is reportedly in her third trimester and expecting her second child.
Despite being seven months pregnant, the actress is said to be working night shifts and performing demanding action sequences for her much-awaited film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun.
The update has attracted attention as Deepika was recently at the centre of debate over her preference for an eight-hour working schedule.
However, reports suggest that her commitment to completing the film before taking maternity leave remains strong.
According to a report by Variety, a crew member said Deepika was determined to finish her portions before beginning her maternity break.
“She was determined to do everything possible to complete the film before taking maternity leave. Some of the action sequences are extremely demanding and exhausting, but she has managed to complete them despite the challenges,” the crew member reportedly said.
The person added that Deepika’s dedication had inspired everyone on the sets.
“It is inspiring for the entire team to watch her perform with such commitment. She also has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter at home, who continues to receive her full attention,” the crew member said.
Directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures, Raaka is scheduled for release in 2027.
The film recently created strong buzz after the makers unveiled Allu Arjun’s first look on his 44th birthday. The actor was seen in a striking bald avatar with an intense and rugged appearance.
With Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone coming together for the first time, Raaka is already among the most anticipated Indian films in production.
