There has been considerable discussion around the glimpse of “Raaka” and its expected release. Allu Arjun’s PR team had officially confirmed that a video introducing the world of the film would be unveiled in August.
However, with August coming to an end, the glimpse has not been released, and there is now clarity that the planned launch will not happen this month.
According to industry sources, Allu Arjun is said to have felt that releasing the video without creating sufficient hype and anticipation would not do justice to the film. The glimpse has therefore been postponed, although no new date has been officially locked yet.
There is speculation that the makers could target the first week of October, but this remains unconfirmed.
Several upcoming pan-India films, including “Varanasi” and “Dragon,” have already unveiled their titles and glimpses or teasers. In comparison, “Raaka” has so far released only a title poster, leaving fans eager to see the first video glimpse.
Directed by Atlee, “Raaka” is said to be a science-fiction film set in a distinctive world featuring several new creatures, animals and species. The scale and visual world of the film are reportedly expected to be among its major attractions.
Allu Arjun plays a rural character, while Deepika Padukone is the female lead. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music by Sai Abhyankkar.
