Popular Tollywood actor Rahul Ramakrishna, known for his strong pro-Telangana stand, has joined political activists and leaders from the region, as well as actors like Prakash Raj, in criticising Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who recently kicked up a controversy with his attempt to hold a meeting in Hyderabad.
Rahul took to X to take potshots at Pawan Kalyan, questioning his sincerity in enforcing forest and environmental laws in Andhra Pradesh instead of indulging in rhetoric on Telangana issues.
“Please ask for and show results on the implementation of PESA, the 1/70 Act and the Gram Sabha Act. Did you carry out afforestation programmes? The numbers seem dubious, as verified by an independent body. I am asking for filed and marked results. Jai Telangana!” Rahul tweeted.
He further said: “Apart from your usual bravado, have you implemented Section 4.1(b) of proactive disclosure under the Right to Information Act in every department and in every position you hold, sir? I’m asking because I’m your fan, and you need to constantly answer our questions.”
Rahul also sought to know whether questioning Pawan Kalyan would make him an anti-national.
