The fan organisation “RAW NTR,” which recently attracted widespread attention on social media and in the Telugu film industry by hinting at Jr NTR’s return to active politics through social service activities, has suddenly announced its closure.
The group had introduced itself as an organisation of Jr NTR’s supporters and claimed that it would undertake social service initiatives worth Rs 100 crore. It had also announced plans to launch village development programmes under the banner “Ooru-Vaada.”
However, in a surprise development, the organisation announced through its official X account that it was shutting down.
In its post, the group wrote, “Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to ensure that the organisation was closed.”
The announcement has triggered widespread discussion online, with many users questioning the organisation’s intentions from the beginning.
Several social media users asked why the organisation had been formed, what social service activities it had actually carried out and why it was being dissolved so soon after its launch.
Others questioned whether the group genuinely intended to undertake charitable work or merely sought publicity by using Jr NTR’s name.
Many also wondered why the organisation had attempted to carry out welfare activities in the actor’s name without his official involvement.
Some speculated that the group may have received a serious warning after continuing its activities even after Jr NTR’s team publicly clarified that the actor had no connection with the organisation.
RAW NTR had initially attracted attention by announcing plans to spend Rs 100 crore on welfare programmes across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, shortly after the announcement, Jr NTR’s official team stated that the actor had no association with the group.
The clarification was followed by criticism from several fan associations, many of which distanced themselves from RAW NTR.
In response to the backlash, RAW NTR representative Sai Roop addressed the media and claimed that attempts were being made to distance the organisation from Jr NTR.
However, just four days after making that statement, the organisation announced its closure.
The sudden decision has fuelled further speculation about the reasons behind the shutdown. Observers are now waiting to see whether the organisation’s representatives provide a detailed explanation in the coming days.
