A recent wedding reception in Hyderabad grabbed attention in film circles as Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her former husband Naga Chaitanya were seen at the same event.
The former couple attended producer Sunil Narang’s daughter Simran Narang’s reception, arriving separately with their respective partners — Samantha with Raj Nidimoru and Chaitanya with Sobhita Dhulipala.
The rare appearance comes years after their separation in 2021 and their subsequent marriages.
The moment drew attention as Samantha and Chaitanya are seldom seen at the same public gatherings. There was no interaction between the two at the event.
Samantha opted for a magenta saree and was seen walking in with Raj Nidimoru, who wore a dark blue blazer paired with jeans.
Meanwhile, Chaitanya exited the venue with Sobhita Dhulipala, both dressed in coordinated blue outfits, with the actor in a blazer and Sobhita in an elegant saree.
Samantha and Chaitanya had tied the knot in 2017 in Goa before parting ways and finalising their divorce in 2021. Chaitanya later married Sobhita Dhulipala in 2024, while Samantha married Raj Nidimoru in 2025.
On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for Vrushakarma, directed by Karthik Varma Dandu, where he reportedly plays a treasure hunter in an adventure thriller. The film also features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Sparsh Shrivastava.
Samantha, on the other hand, has Maa Inti Bangaram, directed by Nandini Reddy, lined up for release on May 15, 2026.
