Director Venugopal Reddy said he initially narrated the complete story of Romanchakam to Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Pranay Reddy Vanga in a session that lasted nearly two hours.
The story reportedly impressed both of them, and they felt it deserved to be made into a film. Venugopal said their confidence gave him the opportunity to bring his vision to the screen.
According to Venugopal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga did not interfere in the filmmaking process. Instead, he encouraged him to take complete ownership of the project and make the film according to his own vision.
The director also recalled a memorable moment when Sandeep watched the first cut of the film. Venugopal said Sandeep appreciated his work and handed him a beer as if he had won an Oscar.
Venugopal also praised the lead actors, Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar, and spoke warmly about their on-screen combination.
He further highlighted the contributions of cinematographer Pawan Puppala and music composer Vasuki Vaibhav, saying the visuals and music would be among the major attractions of the film.
The director concluded by urging audiences to support Romanchakam in theatres.
He believes the film has the right mix of youthful energy, romance, humour and suspense to entertain viewers.
Romanchakam is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 3.
