Adivi Sesh is set to take part in New York’s prestigious Independence Day celebrations, with the actor scheduled to participate in three major events marking India’s Independence Day.
The celebrations will begin on August 14 with the iconic Empire State Building being illuminated in the colours of the Indian tricolour. The special ceremony, organised in association with the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), will also be attended by the CEO of the Empire State Building and his team.
Sesh will take part in the ceremonial lighting at 2 PM, pulling the lever that will illuminate the Empire State Building in saffron, white and green. The symbolic gesture will be one of the key highlights of the celebrations in New York.
On August 15, the actor will join the Consul General of India in New York for the flag-hoisting ceremony at Times Square at 10 AM. The event will bring together members of the Indian community for patriotic songs, cultural programmes and traditional performances.
The celebrations will conclude on August 16 with the India Day Parade on Madison Avenue. Sesh will participate in the parade as part of the America 250 float alongside elected officials and will later be present at the podium to greet the nearly 55 floats taking part in the event.
For Adivi Sesh, being part of these prominent celebrations is a special honour, as he joins a major Indian-American gathering celebrating India’s independence, heritage and global presence.
