Actress Shalini Pandey has spoken out against a fake AI-generated video of her that has been circulating widely on social media.
Shalini, who shot to fame with “Arjun Reddy,” has categorically denied that the woman in the video is her.
She called the clip completely fabricated and condemned the misuse of artificial intelligence to create misleading content targeting women.
The actress also urged social media users not to contribute to its circulation by sharing, forwarding or downloading the video. Instead, she asked people who come across it to report the content.
In a statement shared on social media, Shalini said, “I want to address a fake, AI-generated video of me that is currently being circulated online. The video is completely fabricated and does not depict me.”
She further described the incident as deeply disturbing and said technology should not be misused to target or harm individuals. She also stressed that such abuse must not be normalised.
Shalini’s response comes after the video gained significant traction online.
The actress had recently shared photographs from a photoshoot that showed her back, but the viral clip making the rounds online is unrelated and, according to her, has been created using AI.
