This month has witnessed a unique coincidence in Telugu cinema, with two films paying heartfelt tributes to two of the industry's most celebrated filmmakers.
The first is Sing Geetham, a film directed by the legendary Singeetam Srinivasa Rao himself at the remarkable age of 94.
Produced by Nag Ashwin, the project serves as a tribute to the veteran filmmaker's extraordinary legacy.
The film reportedly incorporates songs and references from the classic Aditya 369, one of Singeetam's most iconic works, celebrating his immense contribution to Indian cinema.
The second film is Maa Inti Bangaram, which released today with Samantha playing the lead role.
Directed by Nandini Reddy and produced by Raj Nidimoru, the film pays homage to legendary director Bapu.
The opening titles feature Bapu's iconic illustrations brought to life through animation, creating a nostalgic connection with audiences.
Adding to the tribute, the classic song "Mutyamanta Pasupu Mukhamanta Chaaya" from Mutyala Muggu also finds a place in the film.
Interestingly, both films have coincidentally become heartfelt celebrations of two towering legends of Telugu cinema.
