The upcoming pan-India action-drama Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road marks the first collaboration between Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Sethupathi.
While the film has already created curiosity with its title, teaser and promotional material, the making today released a glimpse, introducing Tabu as the commanding personality of Gowri Hegde.
Tabu makes her entry into city’s slums with effortless authority. She lights a cigarette, confronts a local goon and follows her warning with a sharp slap, immediately making it clear that Gowri Hegde is not someone who tolerates defiance.
What follows is an explosive display of her temperament. The most effective moment comes when she delivers her introduction with absolute confidence- Gowri Hegde, Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax.
The introduction carries the trademark attitude and swagger often associated with Puri Jagannadh’s character designs. Tabu gives Gowri an imposing screen presence, balancing authority with a dangerous edge.
Vijay Sethupathi is also briefly seen in the promo. Samyuktha plays the female lead.
