Spirit and Fauji: Dilemma Over Prabhas' Film Numbers

Spirit and Fauji: Dilemma Over Prabhas' Film Numbers

Prabhas is currently shooting for two films simultaneously, with a gap between their schedules. One is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, while the other is Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauji.

While Fauji, which was earlier planned for a December 3 release, has now been postponed indefinitely, Spirit is still targeting a March 2027 release.

However, the delay has created an interesting dilemma for Prabhas and the producers of both films.

Initially, Fauji was expected to be the 24th film of Prabhas’ career, while Vanga’s Spirit was supposed to be his landmark 25th film.

The postponement of Fauji has now complicated those plans.

If Spirit sticks to its March 2027 release date, it could effectively become Prabhas’ 24th film, while Fauji may take the 25th spot. In that case, the makers of Spirit would lose the opportunity to promote it as Prabhas’ milestone 25th film.

Alternatively, Vanga may have to push Spirit further and allow Fauji to release first if the team wants Spirit to retain the “25th film” tag.

Either way, it has become an interesting situation for both directors and producers.

This is one of the complications that can arise when big films face repeated delays and release dates keep changing.
