The title dispute surrounding Spirit has intensified, with the film titled Spirit is Not One producers Venkateswarlu and Narasamma alleging that they are facing pressure to halt the movie's release and remove promotional content.
Addressing a press conference, the producers said they have no plans to change the title and maintained that all legal requirements for the film have been fulfilled.
They stated that they have responded to legal notices and submitted supporting documents, including registration records and the censor certificate.
According to the producers, the controversy has created uncertainty as they claim that while legal notices have questioned the film's release, statements made through media and other forums have suggested that the movie can proceed.
The team said this contradictory situation has caused significant difficulties and confusion.
They added that they are consulting legal experts and organized the press meet to present their side of the issue and seek greater clarity on the matter.
The dispute is expected to be resolved through ongoing legal proceedings and discussions between the parties.
While a few are stating that it is a genuine grievance to be addressed, others are mentioning it as a money grabbing exercise. The legal system has to conclude what it is.
It is known that already a big film titled Spirit is in production with Prabhas in main lead and Sandeep Reddy Vanga as director.
