Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly all set to marry Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony on July 5.
According to media reports, the wedding will be an intimate affair attended only by close family members and friends.
Aamir Khan was earlier married to Reena Dutta and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao. Gauri Spratt, according to reports, is also the mother of a seven-year-old child.
Aamir had introduced Gauri to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations last year. At the press meet, he revealed that she was working with his production house.
Before Aamir made the relationship public, there had been reports that he was dating someone from outside the film industry. However, the actor managed to keep her away from the media glare for a long time.
Joking about how he kept the relationship under wraps, Aamir had told the media, “Dekha, kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko,” meaning, “See, I did not let you people know anything.”
Aamir had also revealed that the relationship was kept private for nearly 18 months. He said Gauri was based in Bengaluru until recently, which helped them stay away from media attention.
“For one, she lives in Bengaluru, or lived there until recently. So I would fly down to meet her, and the media scrutiny is less there. So we stayed under the radar,” he had said.
Who Is Gauri Spratt?
Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru and has spent most of her life in the city. She is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in Bengaluru.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Gauri studied at Blue Mountain School and later completed a fashion course, FDA Styling & Photography, at the University of the Arts London in 2004. The profile also states that she currently runs a BBlunt salon in Mumbai.
Reports say she has a seven-year-old child.
Aamir Khan’s Previous Marriages
Aamir Khan first married his childhood sweetheart Reena Dutta in a private ceremony in 1986. The couple has two children, son Junaid and daughter Ira. Junaid has entered the film industry, while Ira is known for her work in mental health awareness.
Aamir and Reena divorced in 2002 after 16 years of marriage.
In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao. The two had met on the sets of 'Lagaan', where Kiran worked as an assistant director. The couple divorced in 2021.
Aamir and Kiran continue to co-parent their son Azad, who was born through surrogacy.
