Actress Trisha Krishnan watched Vijay's Jana Nayagan at Rohini Theatre in Chennai on Thursday.
She was accompanied by her mother, Uma Krishnan. The actress arrived quietly to watch the film on its release day.
After the screening, Trisha was mobbed by a huge crowd of fans and media persons outside the theatre.
Security personnel escorted her safely through the crowd and helped her reach her vehicle. Videos of the incident quickly went viral on social media.
Trisha did not interact with the media or share her review of the film. She simply smiled at fans before leaving the venue.
However, her mother, Uma Krishnan, praised the film while speaking to reporters.
She said, "Super film. We had a good time, and we really enjoyed it." She also said she would miss seeing Vijay on the big screen if this is truly his last film.
