Before the release of Prabhas’s The Raja Saab, producer SKN was one of the film’s most vocal promoters.
Although the film was produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, SKN frequently referred to it as “our film” on social media and actively shared updates, creating the impression that he was closely associated with the project.
During the promotional campaign, SKN repeatedly expressed confidence that The Raja Saab would present Prabhas in a refreshing and colourful avatar, marking a departure from the actor’s recent action-heavy films.
However, the film failed to meet expectations at the box office and received largely negative reviews.
The disappointing outcome also affected director Maruthi’s momentum, with the filmmaker yet to announce his next project.
Now, as SKN gears up for the release of Chennai Love Story, which he is co-producing, his stance on The Raja Saab appears to have changed.
Responding to questions about the Prabhas starrer, SKN said that the film’s performance should be discussed by its director, producer and lead actor, as they were the people most directly involved in the project.
He added that he had only a minor role in the film and therefore did not consider it appropriate to comment on its success or failure.
The clarification comes after SKN faced heavy trolling from sections of Prabhas’s fan base following the film’s poor theatrical run.
Observers have also noted a visible change in his public appearances, with the producer adopting a more restrained tone compared with his earlier outspoken and hyperactive style.
