Vijay D: Dhurandhar Songs Play Non-Stop in South Gyms

Vijay Deverakonda has revealed that songs from Dhurandhar are being played non-stop in gyms across South India.

During a recent conversation with podcaster Shubhankar Mishra, Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna were asked which Hindi songs are currently popular in the South.

Vijay said he could not immediately recall the exact song names and asked the host to hum them. He also mentioned that he listens to a lot of independent music.

The couple are now gearing up for the release of Ranabaali, in which they will once again be seen together on screen.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 16.

Set against the backdrop of British rule between 1854 and 1878, Ranabaali presents a fictional story inspired by lesser-known chapters from the Rayalaseema region and centres on a fierce warrior named Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali.

Rashmika plays Jayamma, while Vijay essays the titular role of Ranabaali.

The film marks Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s third project together as an on-screen pair and their first after marriage. The two previously worked together in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the Telugu period drama also features Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo in a key role.

Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film, while T-Series is presenting it. The music has been composed by Ajay-Atul.

The team completed the film’s shoot in September.
