Suriya continues his strong box-office run in 2026. After scoring big with Karuppu, the actor’s latest release Vishwanath and Sons is also maintaining good momentum.
The family drama, co-starring Mamitha Baiju, has now passed the crucial Monday test.
On Day 4, Vishwanath and Sons collected Rs 7.50 crore net in India, registering a 63.5% drop from Sunday’s Rs 20.55 crore.
Despite the expected weekday fall, the film managed to post a decent Monday number across 4,962 shows.
With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 65.65 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 75.88 crore.
The film also added Rs 2 crore overseas on Day 4, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 45 crore.
This has pushed the film’s worldwide gross to Rs 120.88 crore in four days.
Telugu Version Leads on Monday
Interestingly, the Telugu version performed slightly better than the Tamil version on Day 4.
The Telugu version collected around Rs 3.85 crore with an overall occupancy of 34%.
The Tamil version contributed around Rs 3.65 crore, with an overall occupancy of 24%.
The Telugu market continuing to show stronger occupancy is an encouraging sign for the film, especially considering that it was originally made in Tamil and dubbed into Telugu.
After a strong opening weekend, Monday was always going to be an important test. The Rs 7.50 crore India net suggests that the film has managed to maintain reasonable weekday momentum.
The next few days will now determine how strongly Vishwanath and Sons can hold before its second weekend.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles.
