The trailer of Suriya’s Vishwanath & Sons was released today and offers a mix of family drama, romance, humour and emotion.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Suriya opposite Mamitha Baiju, with Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon and several other actors in important roles.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, Vishwanath & Sons is scheduled to release worldwide on August 14.
The trailer introduces Sanjay Vishwanath, an international pistol shooter who continues to chase his dreams even after crossing his forties.
Rather than depending only on commercial heroism, the trailer gives importance to relationships, family values and emotional moments. Suriya appears comfortable in a role that combines maturity, humour and sentiment.
The trailer also includes light-hearted situations, a few action moments and family emotions. The Chandramukhi-Jyothika reference towards the end adds a humorous touch.
Mamitha Baiju brings youthful energy to the trailer with her lively and playful character, which may connect well with younger audiences.
Venky Atluri once again seems to be focusing on emotions, an area that has worked well for him in his recent films. Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon also appear to have important roles in the family drama.
