Whenever there is an opportunity, maverick South Indian character actor Prakash Raj takes potshots at Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and posts controversial messages on his social media handle X.
In his latest post, Prakash Raj entered into a confrontation with another senior actor-turned-Jana Sena Party MLC Nagababu, who happens to be the elder brother of Pawan Kalyan.
On Friday, Nagababu posted a cryptic message on social media.
In the post, he remarked that followers should accept a leader’s decisions without questioning them and trust that the leader alone knows what is right and wrong.
“A leader’s word is final. None have seen devils and demons in his path; he alone knows what is right and what is wrong. Shut your doubts, silence your tongue, and follow the leader without questions,” Nagababu posted.
Although he did not directly name Prakash Raj, the latter reacted strongly, asserting that citizens have every right to question political leaders.
“What do you mean by ‘Shut your doubts, silence your tongue and follow the leader without questions?’ We are not sheep or slaves. Questioning is our right. Any leader, or anyone who believes he is a leader, has a responsibility to answer questions,” Prakash Raj said in his response.
The controversy began after Pawan Kalyan announced that his party would actively contest elections in Telangana.
He said “Telangana is not anyone’s personal estate” and declared that Jana Sena would expand politically in the state by contesting future elections.
Prakash Raj quickly took to X and sarcastically questioned Pawan Kalyan whether Jana Sena would contest independently or with alliance partners.
His comments drew a sharp response from film producer Bandla Ganesh, who accused the actor of interfering in matters unrelated to him.
He also launched a personal attack on Prakash Raj through social media, further fuelling the controversy.
Now, with the latest post from Prakash Raj, it remains to be seen whether Nagababu responds again and whether the dispute develops into a larger political debate involving Jana Sena’s expansion plans in Telangana.
