Producer Naga Vamsi frequently finds himself at the centre of social media discussions and trolling. His latest comments at the Sardar 2 pre-release event have now drawn attention.
During the event, anchor Suma asked Naga Vamsi whom he would like to spy on if he got a chance. He replied that he would spy on heroines.
Naga Vamsi explained that whenever he approaches actresses for his films, they often tell him that they are busy or unavailable because of other commitments.
He said he sometimes finds it difficult to know whether they are genuinely occupied or simply making excuses to avoid taking up his projects. That, he said, was the reason behind his “spy” comment.
He also remarked that some heroines appear to be busier than heroes and directors. While his comments were made in a light-hearted manner, they have triggered discussion on social media.
Some netizens are questioning why a producer should be concerned about an actress being busy if she is not available for his film.
They point out that heroines often work on multiple projects simultaneously and also attend brand events, store launches and other public appearances, which can make their schedules quite packed.
The argument being made online is that if an actress is unable to give dates to a particular film, the producer can simply look for another actress rather than questioning how she spends her time.
