The official announcement of NTR and Trivikram Srinivas’ mythological epic has finally ended speculation about the filmmaker’s next project, giving Allu Arjun greater clarity on his own lineup.
Trivikram and Allu Arjun were initially expected to reunite after Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
However, Allu Arjun eventually chose Atlee’s ambitious pan-India film Raaka, prompting Trivikram to revive his mythological script and take it to NTR.
In recent months, industry circles were abuzz with speculation that, following the underwhelming response to War 2, Trivikram was considering offering the same “God of War” script to Allu Arjun, who enjoys a massive pan-India market after the success of Pushpa 2.
There were also reports that Allu Arjun was interested in the project and was willing to reshuffle his schedule to accommodate it.
However, insiders say that after several rounds of discussions, Trivikram and producers S. Radha Krishna and Naga Vamsi decided to move ahead with NTR for practical and creative reasons.
The project was officially announced on Monday, ending months of speculation.
With Trivikram expected to remain occupied with the mythological epic until 2028, Allu Arjun can now focus on his already packed slate.
After completing Raaka with Atlee, the actor is expected to begin work on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action film.
He is also slated to collaborate with Malayalam director Basil Joseph, while a proposed project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali remains in the pipeline.
