Nostalgia: Raallapalli Proved His Mettle

Raallapalli, the veteran character actor on silver screen ahs shared his past narrating an incident happened in the initial days of his career. He was given a role in the national award winning film ‘Oorummadi Bathukulu’ by its director Narayana. Rallapalli said, “I was given a drunkard role in the film. But writer CS Rao has no hope on me and negated to give that role for me. But I proved myself before camera where that was got very good response. The same role brought me many opportunities in many films later on”.

Exactly, the opposite thing happened with Nutan Prasad in the same film. CS Rao gripped tenaciously to give the key role in the film to Nutan Prasad. But the director negated. CS Rao said that he is not giving his story if Nutan Prasad is not given role in that. Finally he was given that role. Nutan Prasad proved himself and erased the opinion of the director. The same film brought many opportunities for Nutan Prasad.

That way, both Raallapalli and Nutan Prasad have got the film ‘Oorummadi Bathukulu’ to prove themselves and stand as talented actors in Tollywood. Similarly it was the same writer CS Rao’s film ‘Praanam Khareedu’ that laid foundation stone for Chiranjeevi and Kota Sreenivasa Rao.
