NTR’s Life Saved By Gummadi

This sure belongs to the category of nostalgia but then a shocking revelation has now come to light with this incident and if we were not lucky then perhaps the legendary NTR would have kicked the bucket years before than we actually got to know him better. We are talking of an incident that took place in the 60s.
 
Apparently, there was a song that was being shot and it went in the lines of ‘kanupapa karuvaina…’ and this movie had NTR teaming up with the veteran star Gummadi. In this film, there was scene that was shot on a railway track and NTR had to be given contact lenses as per his character.
 
But given those days, the lenses were not clear and he could not figure out an object until it was dangerously near, this time it was the train which missed the sight of NTR and a major tragedy was averted when Gummadi got into the act and pulled NTR away from the track before the train could run him over. All this was narrated by the famous and the living legend who worked on 78 year Tollywood history, S V Rama Rao.
