Producer Dipped Artiste In Sandal Wood Paste

You might have often seen heroines drenched in pools and rain or sometimes landing softly on beds of roses or fruits but have you ever seen a girl lying in the pool of sandalwood paste? Well, something like this has happened in Tollywood and for this, we are taking you a few years back towards nostalgia.
 
The film we are talking about is ‘Bangaru Papa’ starring S V Ranga Rao, Jaggaiah etc and there was a scene where a small girl gets trapped in a pool of murky mud. However, the child artiste was reluctant to get into such set up so producer B N Reddy took her aside and gave her a smell of sandalwood paste and asked her opinion. When she was ready for this, he immediately arranged for the sandalwood paste and the shot was taken. Since this was black and white, the viewers were not aware.
 
All this was recalled by the great and legendary diction guru Kakarala at a recent public meet. Kakarala happens to be the ‘Dronacharya’ of the film industry and he has given the nuances of dialogue delivery from Ramana Reddy to the current heroes like Nagarjuna, Mohan Babu and others too.
