This Busy Mimicry Artist Became Star Comedian

Well-known comedian Brahmanandam used to be a lecturer in Attili in West Godavari district.

Even during those days, Brahmanandam would spend his free time doing mimicry.

At various college functions, he would imitate various artistes like Nagabhushanam, Relangi, Rajababu, Padmanabham, Jaggayya, ANR and NTR among others.

He would also propagate the government’s slogan of ‘iddaru leka mugguru chalu’, which is about population control, as a part of his shows.

During those days, he would take whatever was given to him and do mimicry for half an hour.

Even today Brahmanandam acknowledges the contribution of his guru Sunnam Anjaneyulu whose mannerisms he still imitates in his films.
