The Jana Sena Party, headed by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, has urged its leaders, party workers and women cadre to exercise restraint and caution while expressing their views on various issues through social media and other public platforms.
In a set of guidelines issued by the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan directed party leaders and cadres not to cross the limits of decorum in the language they use or in the manner in which they express their views.
The party made it clear that leaders and workers should not use objectionable or abusive language while commenting on unnecessary or unrelated issues.
It also directed them to strictly follow the guidelines laid down by the party while speaking to the media or posting content on social media.
Pawan Kalyan asked party leaders and workers not to make personal remarks or resort to personal abuse against individuals. Their responses on political and other issues, he said, should be in line with the party’s ideology, principles and guidelines.
He also asked leaders not to react emotionally while commenting on any issue and to refrain from using obscene or abusive language. He said women should always be spoken about with due respect and dignity.
The Jana Sena chief also directed party members not to make arbitrary statements on internal party matters through social media. The party warned that it would not tolerate statements that undermine or disparage its ideology.
Pawan cautioned party workers against making provocative remarks that could create indiscipline or incite Jana Sena cadres. He also asked them not to fall under the influence of people trying to create confusion within the party.
“More importantly, leaders and workers should make statements in a manner that preserves the spirit and unity of the NDA coalition government. They should not become victims of social media campaigns allegedly being run by political opponents with the intention of creating differences within Jana Sena,” he said.
The party leadership stressed that every Jana Sena representative and worker should maintain discipline and uphold the dignity of the organisation while using social media and interacting with the public.
