The comments made by political analyst Professor K Nageshwar over the alleged request by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to arrest YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy continue to generate heated political debate across the Telugu states.
Against this backdrop, Andhra Pradesh BJP president P V N Madhav has made an interesting statement, indicating that there is every possibility of Jagan being arrested sooner or later in connection with various cases, along with others.
Madhav told reporters in Visakhapatnam that certain forces were attempting to create divisions within the ruling NDA alliance government in Andhra Pradesh.
Without directly naming Professor Nageshwar, Madhav alleged that some individuals were deliberately creating confusion despite the alliance government functioning smoothly.
“At a time when the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is functioning effectively, some people are making large-scale efforts to disrupt that unity. Artificial confusion is being created. Mind games are being played in the guise of political analysts. Conspiracies are underway to damage the unity of the alliance,” he said.
Referring indirectly to the analyst’s comments, Madhav said, “Recently, one political analyst created unnecessary controversy and tried to inflame tensions with baseless remarks. Within two days, the analyst himself withdrew those comments. Jana Sena leaders also requested their cadre not to pursue the issue further.”
He, however, said Jagan and others allegedly involved in various scams would have to face arrest one day or the other.
“Certainly, whoever committed wrongdoing, including Jagan Mohan Reddy, will have to pay the price for their actions. Large-scale arrests will definitely take place. There is absolutely no second thought about it,” Madhav declared.
Madhav further observed that television debates should feature neutral analysts rather than those allegedly driven by ideological or political bias.
“Analysts should remain neutral. Those who have a particular ideological leaning will naturally speak in favour of one side. Television channels should invite neutral analysts for discussions,” he said.
