Pawan Forms 5-Member Panel for Local Polls

Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has constituted a five-member special coordination committee to strengthen the party’s preparations for the upcoming local body elections in the state.

The committee comprises APMSIDC chairman Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, former MLA Pendem Dorababu, Visakhapatnam South MLA Vamsi Krishna Yadav, Pulaparthi Prashanth from the Bhimavaram constituency and Yanamala Bhaskar from the Railway Koduru constituency.

The newly constituted panel will coordinate with the party’s existing local body election mechanism, collect feedback and information from the field, and submit periodic reports to Pawan Kalyan on political developments and the party’s preparedness.

The five-member panel will also work alongside the 14-member local body elections coordination committee that was constituted earlier to formulate the party’s strategy and guidelines for the polls.

Based on the reports submitted by the new panel, Pawan Kalyan is expected to hold regular reviews and issue directions on the party’s election strategy and organisational preparedness.

The Jana Sena leadership is also considering certain changes to the previously constituted 14-member committee.

The move is part of Jana Sena’s effort to strengthen its organisational machinery ahead of the municipal and panchayat elections and establish a more structured system for gathering constituency-level information and coordinating campaign preparations.

The party has already stepped up its local-poll planning, including coordination with alliance partners and grassroots-level activities.
