Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks on Andhra Pradesh politics have sparked fresh political discussion, particularly over his comments about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his son Nara Lokesh and the development of Amaravati.
In an interaction with a national media channel, Revanth Reddy reportedly described his age as an advantage and said that Hyderabad was an “asset” for Telangana, while characterising Amaravati as a “liability” for Andhra Pradesh.
He also contrasted his age with that of Chandrababu Naidu, saying that the veteran Andhra Pradesh leader was considerably aged when compared to him.
When asked about Nara Lokesh, Revanth Reddy reportedly said that Lokesh was “too young” and referred to the significant age and experience gap between Lokesh and Chandrababu Naidu.
His remarks appeared to focus on the right age of Chief Minister to lead the state, which according to him, is missing in Andhra Pradesh but not in Telangana.
Given the assumed Revanth Reddy’s close proximity to Chandrababu Naidu, these comments have drawn strong criticism from the TDP camp and surprised many in political circles.
The point is that TDP people cannot digest anything negative about Amaravathi and that too coming from Revanth Reddy is a shocker for them.
