Kamma Corporation Chairman Nadendla Brahmam Chowdary suffered a brain stroke and was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Tadepalli.
According to reports, he developed a severe headache last night. His family members immediately shifted him to the hospital, where doctors provided emergency treatment.
Doctors reportedly removed a blood clot from his brain. His condition is now said to be stable.
Brahmam Chowdary married TDP social media activist Gauthami Swetha, also known as Swathi Reddy, in Tirumala two weeks ago. It was a love marriage.
The couple reportedly met while actively working for the TDP’s social media wing and later fell in love.
Their wedding was held at Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham in Tirumala. A wedding reception was also organised in Mangalagiri on July 6.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, minister Nara Lokesh and several senior TDP leaders attended the reception and blessed the newly married couple.
TDP leaders and party workers expressed concern after Brahmam Chowdary was hospitalised with a brain stroke just two weeks after his wedding.
Nara Lokesh also posted a message on social media, praying for Brahmam Chowdary’s speedy recovery.
Lokesh said he spoke to Brahmam Chowdary’s wife, Gauthami Swetha, over the phone and assured her that the party would stand by the family. He also asked her to remain strong.
Lokesh said he had requested the doctors at Manipal Hospital to provide the best possible treatment and ensure Brahmam Chowdary’s quick recovery.
